Amino-acid Replacements in Horse Haemoglobin

Abstract

Horse haemoglobin contains up to four components which arise by substitution of glutamine for lysine at position α60 and of tyrosine for phenylalanine at position α24. The possible genetic reasons for this heterogeneity are discussed
