Amino-acid Composition of α s 1 -Casein D

Abstract

THE genetic polymorphism of αs-casein was first demonstrated by Thompson et al.1 using the technique of starch-gel electrophoresis. Since that time three genetically controlled variants have been found, which have been denominated as α s 1 -casein A, B and C in order of their decreasing electrophoretic mobility.
