Actomyosin-like Protein from Crayfish Nerve: a Possible Molecular Explanation of Permeability Changes during Excitation

Abstract

THE purpose of this communication is to show that a protein which resembles the contractile actomyosin of muscle (also an ATPase) is present in nerve membranes.
