Vibrational Relaxation of Carbon Dioxide in Mixtures with Noble Gases

Abstract

MEASUREMENTS have been made, using a spectrophone, of the relaxation time of the 4.3µ fundamental vibration of carbon dioxide diluted with the five noble gases— helium, neon, argon, krypton and xenon. The apparatus and experimental procedure have already been described1.
