B Chromosomes in Wheat, Triticum aestivum L.

Abstract

FOR many years accessory or B chromosomes have been found in many species both in animals and plants. Among cultivated plants certain important species such as maize and rye have accessory chromosomes; but so far the presence of such chromosomes in wheat has not been reported.
