Abstract
RESOLUTION of tissue alkaline phosphatases into several active components (iso-enzymes) by starch-gel electrophoresis has recently been reported1,2. Fig. 1 is a photograph of the separation by horizontal starchgel electrophoresis in a discontinuous buffer system3 of zones of alkaline phosphatase activity in extracts of human liver prepared by two methods.
