An Unusual Feature of the Fusion Welding of Niobium to Vanadium

Abstract

Theilacker, Baugh, Kasburg and Stermon1 observed apex-shaped boundaries between the fusion zone and parent plate in zirconium–hafnium welding, but offered no satisfactory explanation.
