Abstract
THE only published crystallographic data for mellitic acid, to the best of our knowledge, are those reported by Deverin1. According to his observations mellitic acid is dimorphic: rhombohedral when crystallized from aqueous solution at room temperature, and of an unidentified lower symmetry class when separated from hot aqueous solution.
