Inhibition of the Inductive Phase of Antibody Formation by 6-Mercaptopurine examined by the Transfer of Isolated Cells

Abstract

THE inductive phase of antibody formation is a period that differs not only quantitatively but also qualitatively from the later productive phase1. This is seen from the effects of X-irradiation2and of cortisone3on antibody formation, and in particular from the results of tissue-culture experiments4.
