Abstract
CARBON dioxide fixation by plant tissues other than those involved in photosynthesis has recently been reported for whole plant tissues and cellular particulates of roots1,2. This communication reports observations on the incorporation of carbon dioxide into the organic acid, amino-acid, and protein fractions of germinating pine pollen.
