Abstract
ELECTRICAL methods of counting the products of atomic disintegration have become widely used in many fields in recent years, and are no longer a tool for the specialist in nuclear physics alone. The Geiger-Müller counter for β- and γ- rays in particular has found increasing application in connexion with the ‘tracer’ technique. A monograph on this subject is therefore particularly welcome, especially as other works on this subject are by now out of date.
