Abstract
IN compiling this account of the vegetation of South Africa, Prof. Adamson has had the advantage of a very considerable amount of pioneer work, beginning with the celebrated account by Drege (“Zwei pflanzen geographische Documente”: 1843), by Bolus (“Sketch of the Floral Regions of South Africa”: 1905), and more recently several papers by Pole-Evans and others.
