Abstract
THE eleventh Congress of the International Society of the History of Medicine will be held in Yugoslavia on September 2–11 at Zagreb, Belgrade, Serajevo and Ragusa. The stay at Ragusa will coincide with the birthday fete of the King, who will be patron of the Congress. The following subjects will be discussed: (1) the history of medicine in different countries, introduced by Prof. Gomoiu ; (2) the history of malaria in the Balkan peninsula and especially in Yugoslavia ; (3) natural history in popular medicine (animals, plants, minerals) ; (4) mystery and magic in popular medicine ; (5) medicine in folk poetry ; (6) psychogenic diseases and psychotherapy in popular medicine.
