Abstract
DURING the last days of our spring excavations in Choukoutien this year, the left side of an upper jaw of Sinanthropus pekinensis with six teeth in situ was recovered. A preliminary description of this fragment is contained in my publication on the Sinanthropus dentition which will be available for distribution towards the end of this year. This specimen, together with other fragments of the facial skeleton of Skulls I, II and III of Locus L, which have already been described in NATURE1, have made it possible to restore the entire face in connexion with the brain case.
