Standard Four-Figure Mathematical Tables: including many New Tables, Trigonometrical Functions for Radians, Inverse Trigonometrical and Hyperbolic Functions, and an Extended Table of Natural Logarithms

Abstract

THE object of the authors of this volume of mathematical tables is “to supply a comprehensive set of tables of the numerical values of the elementary functions which are in constant use in mathematics and in the applications of mathematics to physics, chemistry, astronomy, engineering and statistics, in those cases where four-figure accuracy is sufficient”. To attain this obj ect, nineteen tables, occupying 213 pages, are given. In each table the authors have endeavoured to supply as complete information as possible of the values of related functions of the same argument; for example, at one opening the computer will find the first five powers, square roots, cube roots, and reciprocals of 100 arguments.
