Abstract
DUBLIN. Royal Dublin Society, Nov. 20.—L. B. Smyth: On the structure of Palæacis. Study of the coral Palæacis axinoides sp. nov. (previously recorded as P. obtusa Meek and Worthen) from the lower carboniferous rocks of Hook Head, Co. Wexford, revealed the presence of several features not hitherto observed. The young coral attached itself to a shell fragment, or other foreign body.
