Peter (Piotr) Sicinski obtained his MD and PhD degrees at the Warsaw Medical School in Warsaw, Poland. Subsequently, he spent 2 years at the Medical Research Council in Cambridge, England, as a visiting scientist. Peter did his postdoctoral training with Bob Weinberg at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA, USA. He then joined the faculty of the Harvard Medical School, where he is currently an Associate Professor of Pathology.

Peter's laboratory, located in the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, investigates the role of the cell cycle machinery in mouse development and in tumorigenesis. His laboratory has delineated the in vivo functions of the E- and D-type cyclins, and defined the requirement for these proteins in tumor formation.
