AN important memoir, containing an admirable compendium of the data now accumulated bearing upon the much-discussed question of the nature of the fundamental hydrocarbon of the aromatic compounds, together with the results of new spectrometric observations of great value, is contributed to the current issue of the Journal für fraktische Chemie, by Prof. J.
