Abstract
“J. T. B.'s” “discovery” of the distinction between muscular sensations—or, as he styles them, the “sense of force,” whatever that may mean—and the sensation of temperature, has been long anticipated by Alexander Bain in his work on “The Senses and the Intellect.”
