Abstract
AT the beginning of last year news reached Europe that a large “Amphibian resembling Lepidosiren”had been discovered in Australia, and the curiosity of naturalists was still more excited when it was stated that this creature was provided with teeth extremely similar to the fossil teeth (from the Jurassic and Triassic formations) known under the name of Ceratodus.
