Advances in climate modeling

Submission status
Open
Submission deadline

Climate models are important tools to aid our understanding of climate dynamics in the past or present, and to inform future predictions. These numerical simulations apply physics and chemistry laws to study the interactions between drivers of climate, such as: atmosphere, ocean, land surface and ice. Although still associated with some uncertainty, modern models have achieved higher-resolution, improved parametrization and high computational performance, becoming more complex and capable of delivering reliable promising results.

This Collection welcomes original research on climate models of variable complexity, including at the global or regional scale.

This Collection supports and amplifies research related to SDG 13 - Climate action.
