The International Forum of Young Scientists will be organised as a satellite event of the World Conference. The Forum is scheduled to 23-24 June and will be hosted by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

The Hungarian National Committee of UNESCO cordially invites all interested parties to attend the International Forum of Young Scientists. Expressions of interest should be sent to the Conference Secretariat

Goals of the forum

  • to confront future generation of scientists (postdocs, doctoral and university students, secondary school pupils) with challenges to be faced by the science in the 21st century;

  • to raise moral and ethical issues which social reception of scientific achievements crucially depend on;

  • to discuss general trends in motivation, education and training of young scientists, prospects of the scientist career and other job opportunities open for young PhDs, the chances for and the difficulties of creating global and national scientific communities;

  • to discuss the preliminary documents of the World Conference and formulate propositions reflecting points of special importance for the new generation.
