Podosomes
Podosomes are dynamic actin-rich cellular protrusions that degrade the extracellular matrix through local proteolysis. Podosomes are involved in the motile function of normal cells, for example osteoclasts and certain immune cells. Invadopodia are related structures found on cancer cells.
