Lymphatic vessels articles from across Nature Portfolio
Lymphatic vessels are thin, tubular structures with valve-like openings that collect lymph from the tissues and transport it throughout the body. Afferent lymphatics deliver lymph from tissues into lymph nodes, whereas efferent lymphatics bring the filtered lymph away from the lymph node. Lymphocytes also circulate via the lymphatic vessels.
