Circadian regulation articles from across Nature Portfolio

Circadian regulation is the control of the cyclic variation of physiological processes over a 24 hour cycle. The suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) in the brain is understood to be the 'master regulator' or 'central pacemaker' of circadian rhythms, and circadian oscillations of so called 'clock genes' in the SCN in turn influence other processes in a circadian manner.
