BSA Science Communication 2013 (#SciComm2013)

I love storify, particularly for conferences and events. It's a great way to bring together content from across the web (particularly twitter) and create a narrative from it. It gives you a great feel for the mood of the audience at any gathering and pull together new ideas that are generated. It is however dependent upon the event having a healthy and active ongoing online dialogue throughout. Science Communication is one area where the internet is an essential second layer to every gathering and twitter is an extra dimension in any session, as such it lends itself to great storifys that can really make you feel part of it even without going. The same is gradually becoming true of more academic conferences and these online tools are likely contribute to the future of global research communication.
