X-ray computerized tomographic (CT) images for a huge spherulite of poly(oxyethylene) (PEG). Three-dimensional (3D) outlook and corresponding cross-sectional images highlight (in yellow color) the characteristic cracks that are involved in huge spherulites of PEG in an as-cast sample. A 3D model of crack assembly explains well the experimental observation (in purple and green colors).
