Microglia recruitment to amyloid-beta (Aβ) plaques in the brain of APPswe/PS1 Alzheimer's disease (AD) mouse model: Triple 6E10 (Aβ)/Iba1 (microglia)/DAPI (nucleus) immunofluorescence staining that shows Aβ-immunoreactive microglia (i.e. microglia internalizing Aβ) surrounding Aβ plaques. Image was acquired by using laser scan confocal microscopy with a 60X objective. Cover image courtesy of ElAli A, Bordeleau M, Thériault P, Lampron A, Filali M, and Rivest S.
