The CC BY license is preferred by many research funding bodies, and allows for maximum dissemination and re-use of open access materials. Manuscripts submitted to npj Quantum Information do not need to adhere to our formatting requirements at the point of initial submission; formatting requirements only apply at the time of acceptance.

Abstracting and indexing
npj Quantum Information is included in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-E), therefore all articles will appear in Web of Science search results. The journal will apply for indexing in Scopus when appropriate and all published articles will be retrospectively added to the database.
