Step into an innovative and entrepreneurial work environment
At our office in Copenhagen, you join a newly established biotech company founded by four entrepreneurial spirits. Based on our combined professional expertise, we are building a company which focus on bio-based production of biochemicals that find applications in existing and novel markets.
Having recently ventured into a cooperation with the large chemical producer Zhejiang NHU, we are taking the next step in our growth journey, and we need you to help us take that step as our fermentation expert.
Develop and drive our fermentation platform
As the newest addition to our growing team, you will be taking full responsibility of our fermentation platform. Doing so, you will help build up the fermentation lab, taking charge of further optimizing fermentation conditions for the production of targeted biochemicals.
Actively setting up the automated data management system for the fermentations, you step into a workday where you make your knowledge count. You will work in close collaboration with our strain engineering group, and you will:
- Actively participate in studies involving cell physiology and flux analysis
- Analyze data
- Work with modeling
- Carry out chemical analyses

Experienced fermentation engineer
You have a strong drive for delivering results, and you enjoy working hands-on in the laboratory. Communicating with external partners, you will also need to have good communication skills, and as a true team player, you have a positive attitude toward those around you. Furthermore, we expect you to:
- Have a PhD and preferably a few years of academic or industrial research experience
- Have a documented background in fermentation technologies and microbial physiology studies – if you have hands on experience with whole cell catalysis and downstream processing, it is an advantage
- Have worked with designing experiments and optimizing fermentation conditions
- Be fluent in English in both speech and writing
