We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Leader in Spatial and Data analysis.

This role will form an important part of RBG Kew’s Spatial and data analysis team which undertakes research on plants and fungi using the latest analytical techniques, utilising Kew’s world class data holdings and expertise.

You’ll need to be qualified to PhD level with postdoctoral experience, with specialist knowledge in a field of science relevant to plant spatial and data analysis.

You will also have sufficient skills and experience to plan and develop research programmes in plant sciences. This will include the ability to motivate, manage and mentor a small team of researchers, which might include Early Career Research Fellows, PhD and postdoctoral students.

You should have experience in research funding, and evidence of managing budgets. Your publication record should demonstrate a broad range of research skills to complement and extend the existing team (i.e. within spatial and ecological analysis or species modelling or remote sensing for plants).

In this role, you’ll also contribute to the overall running of the team and the Science Directorate
