We are seeking a talented researcher, with a keen interest in biomedical research and a systematic and thorough approach to their work, to contribute to our systematic reviews programme in Population Health Sciences at Bristol Medical School. You will work on systematic reviews and evidence syntheses of various forms. Reviews may address questions about the effects of health interventions, the accuracy of diagnostic or screening tests, prognosis, burden of disease, methodology or other topics. The role provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to high impact applied research and research synthesis, working with a large team of collaborators and working on specific research questions culminating in peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations, which will inform policy and influence clinical practice.
You will have an excellent first degree (first or upper class second) in a quantitative or medical science or other relevant discipline (e.g. statistics, epidemiology, medicine, biology, psychology) and possibly either a Masters degree or a PhD in epidemiology, health technology assessment, biostatistics or similar. You will have excellent writing skills and be keen to work within multi-disciplinary teams to develop high quality research outputs.
This is a full-time open ended position with funding confirmed for 18 months.
