Salary: Grade 8: £40,792 - £48,677 p.a. (pro rata for part-time)
Applications are invited for a Project Manager Malaria Vaccine Development to join Professor Simon Drapers blood-stage malaria vaccine development group at the Jenner Institute, University of Oxford.
This role is focused on managing the manufacture of a new malaria vaccine candidate through the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) prior to initiating clinical trials. You will have the lead day-to-day responsibility for the successful execution of the project, supported by Professor Draper and the other team members and scientists. You will be responsible for managing interactions between the various team members (preclinical and clinical), and a number of external private-sector contractors and collaborators and funders. The post also involves finance and project management across a range of on-going and new programmes of work being undertaken by the Draper group.
Applicants must have the ability to lead large and complex projects with multiple stakeholders, budgets exceeding £1m, long time-frames, and regulatory complexity. You will have a science degree, ideally in medical or life sciences or other relevant subject, be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, and possess critical thinking ability and good problem-solving skills.
This post is offered full-time or part-time (80% FTE or 4 days a week), and is fixed-term for 2 years.
