The Medical Faculty of the University of Cologne seeks a new Junior Research Group Leader in the field of cell death in inflammation and immunity. Candidates with a special focus on inflammasomes and pyroptosis are particularly encouraged to apply. The successful candidate is expected to establish a research program that strengthens and complements current ongoing activities on the topic of cell death, inflammation and immunity at the University of Cologne.
Suitable candidates will have a successful track record of research with first and/or last author publications on the topic with several years of postdoctoral research experience (national and/or international).
The salary of the junior research group leader is a part of the budget available to the junior research group for staff (own position and a PhD student) and consumables. Funding for the group will be initially available for a period of five years.
Your salary will be based on TV-L.
