Junior Faculty Position in the Adult Borderline Center and Training Institute
The Adult Borderline Center and Training Institute at McLean Hospital invite applications from qualified individuals for an early career investigator in personality disorders research at the faculty rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor level in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. This investigator will be responsible for providing oversight of research in the Adult Borderline Personality Disorder services to further develop and shape a system of diagnostic assessment and clinical characterization of the clinical populations in the Gunderson Residence, Gunderson Outpatient Program, Mentalization Based Treatment Clinic, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Clinic, and DBT for PTSD Clinic as well as modifications and improvements in the semi-structured interview assessments to establish comprehensive psychiatric diagnosis, with specific assessment of narcissistic personality disorder and paranoia. In addition, the investigator will also be expected to develop her/his individual federally funded program of research in borderline personality disorder. Opportunities exist for developing strong collaborations within McLean Hospital and across Harvard Medical School.
· M.D. and/or Ph.D.
· Appropriate residency or postdoctoral experience
· A record of extramural funding and publications indicative of demonstrated expertise
· Licensure eligible in Massachusetts
· Must meet the academic criteria for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School
The position offers office and human laboratory space, affiliation with a large clinical research program, and research infrastructure support.
