Activities and responsibilities
The new group will be a key part of the FCI program. It will be integrated in the “Molecular Profiling” platform, one of five platforms that aim at providing a strongly interconnected technology hub for translational cancer research. The lab will be situated at the University Hospital Frankfurt on Goethe University’s Campus Niederrad and will support the expansion of the existing proteomics programs with a focus on translational proteomics research. The major research interests should be centered around mass-spectrometry-based proteomics as well as cancer biology and treatment.
We seek outstanding individuals with a PhD degree who have a keen interest in translational cancer research and in developing proteomics techniques to study cancer biology and novel treatment approaches. In depth expertise in mass-spectrometry is required. Candidates should have postdoctoral research experience and a track record of proteomics-related publications. The candidate is expected to develop an independent research program.

The position is limited to four years and can be extended for additional three years after positive evaluation. The offer includes the group leader position and a generous budget for personnel, consumables and equipment.
