At the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI), creativity and excellence are fundamental to our success. As one of the world's largest philanthropies, HHMI is a major force in advancing biomedical research and science education in the U.S. and beyond. We have an exciting opportunity for a temporary summer position, working in the Information Technology department at our Headquarters in Chevy Chase, Maryland. This role requires full-time hours and is a temporary position for the summer 2019 (approximately May to August).
We are looking for summer help to join us on an 8-10 week assignment where they will help us add automated testing to existing web applications. We believe these projects will provide a fantastic opportunity for a developing Computer Science student to gain real insight to both large and small-scale website development, and best-practices for test writing and automation.
- Undergraduate/graduate student pursuing a degree in computer science, computer engineering, or information technology.
- Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop or Fireworks, Microsoft Office, UNIX command line, Git, and SSH/FTP is preferred.
