Lecturer in Biological Sciences Ref: ATS862
£42,036 – £48,677 per annum (pro rata)
Our School is a vibrant community committed to delivering excellent teaching that results in the highest levels of student satisfaction. We have an opportunity for a talented Lecturer to deliver inspired undergraduate teaching in the fields of molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry and/or cell biology.
As well as lecturing and leading seminars and practical classes, you will prepare new teaching material, organise taught modules, encourage excellent admissions to the School through participation in recruitment events and outreach activities, and contribute significantly to student pastoral support.
Along with a PhD in a relevant field, you will have expertise in delivering innovative research-led teaching, a dynamic teaching vision, and an enthusiasm for working with students and be able to meet all the essential criteria in the person specification.
We have a total of 1.3 FTE available (0.5 FTE is indefinite and 0.8 FTE is fixed term for three years). We are happy to take a flexible approach and would welcome applications from candidates wishing to work full-time, part-time or job-sharing arrangements. Applicants should specify the FTE (or range of FTE) that they wish to work.
