Area of research:

Your main tasks are the investigation of innovative vaccination approaches, based on proteins, scaffolds or vectors both in vitro and in humanized mouse models. You perform high resolution characterization of vaccine-induced immune responses and compare the resulting profiles with the human natural protective immunity. These studies include classical immunological and virological methods especially in the mouse model as well as Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies to analyze the immune cell repertoire.


· Degree in Life Sciences, Veterinary Medicine or Human Medicine

· PhD / MD / DVM degree in virology, immunology or vaccinology

· Experience with and willingness for animal experiments as well as FELASA B certificate (Function A, C and   B in accordance with Directive 2010/63/EU, or  comparable qualification) are necessary

· Certificate FELASA C (Function B according to Directive 2010/63/EU) as well as knowledge of B cell    biology and the analysis of B cell repertoires with NGS methods are beneficial

· Previous experience with RNA viruses are desirable-
