The Marks lab in the Department of Systems Biology at Harvard Medical
School is recruiting an Assistant Research Director to work closely with the PI
Debora Marks in supporting exciting new projects that develop machine-learning
methods for applications in neurodegeneration, synthetic biology and drug
design. The individual in this role will take the lead in project management,
partnering with Dr. Marks to recruit and mentor graduate students and
postdoctoral fellows, manage the collaborative projects, assist with the
writing of grants, progress reports, and research papers.


The successful candidate will have a PhD and is likely to have
research experience in experimental biology or computational biology. The
position requires a sophisticated understanding of molecular biology, and
superb organizational skills. Familiarity with the development and maintenance
of software and servers and coding experience are advantageous but not strictly
required. Strong communication and
writing skills are vital, and finalists may be
required to demonstrate their writing and/or editing skills. To apply, please
