HepaTx Corp. is recruiting a Cell Biologist for our stem cell research program to support development of novel regenerative medicine therapies for liver failure and other serious liver diseases. The Biologist will be responsible for advancing our research program on use of mesenchymal stem cells to treat liver disease and will be involved in projects focusing on stem cell differentiation, manufacturing technologies, and therapeutic development. The selected candidate will be expected to maintain high-level expertise in stem cell biology.
The ideal candidate will have doctoral level degree in molecular, cell or developmental biology with a minimum of two years of experience in working with mammalian mesenchymal stromal cells and/or pluripotent stem cells. Required skills include primary cell culture, Elisa, qPCR, and, fluorescence microscopy. Desired skills include flow cytometry and use of mouse models. Candidates must be goal-driven and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. In addition, this individual must demonstrate strong evidence of self motivation, problem solving, and innovative thinking. Candidates must have the ability to plan, execute and analyze experiments, and possess excellent computer and communication skills.
