The University of Queensland School of Chemistry and Molecular Biosciences is a leading international centre of teaching and research in the chemical and molecular life sciences.
Our chemistry and biomolecular research spans small synthetic molecules through to proteins, nucleic acids, viruses and microorganisms, and our materials research encompasses the design and synthesis of molecular devices, functional polymers and nanomaterials.
More than 50 full-time teaching and research staff and over 150 PhD students from around the world work in our modern research laboratories using state-of-the-art equipment and research infrastructure.

The role: We are seeking highly motivated graduate students to work on a number of new projects.
Candidates who hold a first-class Honours or Master’s degree in molecular biology, genetics, microbiology, chemistry, or related disciplines, are encouraged to apply.
We welcome applications from candidates with substantial laboratory experience, a systematic approach to problem solving, good writing skills, the ability to work well with others, and a strong desire to develop a successful research career.
