We herewith announce a postdoc scholarship for training in Human Genetics at the Institute of Medicine, University of Gothenburg.
Proven experience of at least some of these topics:
- Data mining of large databases
- Human genetics
- Genome Wide association study (GWAS)
- Analyses of variant enrichment
- Transcriptome analisys
- Biomedical statistics
- Single genetic variant association study
Several publications in relevant journals as first author are also highly recommended.
Furthermore, the applicant is expected to be able to communicate very well in English, both in written and oral form and to exhibit a positive, open and enthusiastic personality.
To be eligible for the postdoc scholarship:
the recipient must hold a PhD degree within a relevant field and PhD degree must have been completed no more than two years before the application deadline. Applicants
with a degree obtained earlier than the stipulated two years may be preferred
if special reasons exists. Special reasons in this context include, but are not
limited to, leave due to illness and parental leave. Candidates with a strong interest on the subject are encouraged to

molecular genetics. The candidate will perform genetic association analyses at
