herewith an
nounce a
postdoc scholarship for training in “Molecular biology and biophysics research
in liver disease” in an interdisciplinary team at the Institute of Medicine and
at the Department of Physics, University of Gothenburg.

 Requirements:

<!—[endif]—>Proven experience of at least some of these topics:

<!—[if !supportLists]—>·        
<!—[endif]—>experimental microscopy

<!—[if !supportLists]—>·        
<!—[endif]—>computational microscopy

<!—[if !supportLists]—>·        
<!—[endif]—>mammalian cell culture

<!—[if !supportLists]—>·        
<!—[endif]—>3D in vitro models, possibly
related to liver disease

2)     
Proven experience in bridging biology and physics.

<!—[endif]—>Several high-impact publications in relevant journals as first author
are also highly recommended.

<!—[if !supportLists]—>4)     
<!—[endif]—>Furthermore, the applicant is expected to be able to communicate very
well in English, both in written and oral form and to exhibit a positive, open
and enthusiastic personality.

 To be eligible for the postdoc scholarship, the recipient must
hold a PhD degree within a relevant field and PhD degree must have been
completed no more than two years before the application deadline. Applicants
with a degree obtained earlier than the stipulated two years may be preferred
if special reasons exists. Special reasons in this context include, but are not
limited to, leave due to illness and parental leave. Candidates with a strong interest on the subject are encouraged to
apply.

 

The scholarship covers a period of 12 months with possible extension
of 12 months.

 Start date according to agreement, as soon as possible
is desirable.

The application should include a CV and a personal
letter stating the reasons why the study suits the applicant (maximum one page)
as well as the contact of two references. The
application is to be written in English.
