Postdoctoral Positions

Immunology, Infection and Tissue Injury/ Repair

Postdoctoral positions are available in the laboratory of
Dr. Lionel Ivashkiv at the Hospital for Special Surgery/Weill Cornell Medicine
to study immune responses in musculoskeletal tissue damage and repair, and deep tissue biofilm-associated infections
(periprosthetic joint infections)
. Collaborative projects with musculoskeletal
biologists and orthopaedic surgeons utilize in vitro mechanistic studies, animal
disease models, and analysis of patient samples. The Ivashkiv laboratory uses
cutting edge molecular, cell biology, and genomic approaches to study signaling
pathways and epigenetic mechanisms important for immune and stromal/stem cell
function in the context of inflammatory and musculoskeletal diseases.

The Hospital for Special Surgery is affiliated with and
adjacent to Weill Cornell Medical College and embedded in a vibrant research
environment encompassing Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Rockefeller
University.

A Ph.D. degree in immunology, cell or molecular biology,
microbiology or related fields is required. Experience in inflammatory and musculoskeletal
tissue repair or infection models would be helpful. Competitive benefit package
will be offered including health and dental insurance. Interested applicants
should email a curriculum vitae and a brief description of research experience
to Dr. Lionel Ivashkiv (ivashkivlab@gmail.com).
