The Researcher and Conferences Services department offers a range of services to scientists and other researchers to help them – and their institutions – succeed. Following the successful growth of our services, we are expanding our publishing team to add new roles to join the existing publishing manager and associate publishing managers
This new role presents an exciting opportunity to join a busy, growing team in a strategic content-development role. Working across the Researcher Training Services products, you will be responsible for maintaining the high quality and continual development of workshops, webinars and online courses for researchers around the world.
You will have a thorough understanding of the research environment, with either first-hand experience of training within an institution or an excellent track-record of developing content.

Supporting the Head of Publishing and working with the existing Publishing Manager to develop business strategy, defining and preparing a roadmap for development of training services and new content
Commissioning subject matter experts to develop and review content for new training courses
Ensuring that quality expected of the Nature and Nature Research brands is maintained across all training materials as the products grow
Working closely with the Instructional Designer to ensure content standards and quality across asynchronous and synchronous training.
Leading implementation of new products and services, interfacing with sales, marketing, editorial, communications, production and web teams.
Monitoring and reporting on established KPIs for new products and services.
Establishing best practice to support new products and services.
Experience, skills and qualifications
A PhD in the sciences
Excellent content development, project management and communication skills
Ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients at various levels of seniority
Enthusiasm and a passion for editorial excellence
Thorough understanding of education and training techniques
Thorough understanding of the needs of researchers and institutions as key customers
Strong commercial drive and aptitude for figures, along with an interest in revenue potential and development
Ideally, credibility in regards to researcher training
