Salary: Grade 7: £32,236 - £39,609 p.a.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Postdoctoral Vaccinologist to join an exciting new consortium addressing challenges in vaccine manufacturing. VaxHub, funded by the Engineering and Phsyical Sciences Research Council, is led jointly by UCL and Oxford. The primary focus for the postholder will be to work as a member of the Oxford team responsible for generating a number of new virus like particle vaccines for pre-clinical assessment of immunogenicity and efficacy, as well as addressing particle yield and stability.
The Postdoctoral Vaccinologist will support the on-going programme of vaccine development against pre-erythrocytic malaria. You will be responsible for the development of new pre-erythrocytic malaria vaccines based on VLPs. You will be a highly organised, motivated individual with proven experience in vaccine development and assessment.
A PhD/DPhil in a relevant area related to vaccine design or pre-clinical stage vaccine and be able to interpret scientific data, analyse and research complex issues and write factual reports. In addition, you will possess excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.

Depending on experience, this post may be offered at Grade 6 (£28,660 - £34,189 p.a.) with reduced duties.
