Your Job:Design, develop and operate sample environment equipment to perform pressure and temperature jumps Contribute to the improvement of existing equipment with focus on time resolved measurements on SANS/VSANS and QENS conduct and disseminate world-class research via publications and conference presentations in the field of soft matter and biophysics, in close cooperation with the institute “Neutron Scattering and Soft Matter” (JCNS-1) in Jülich and the Soft Matter Physics Group of the Technical University of Munich Represent and actively work on increasing the user base at MLZ
Your Profile:A PhD degree in Physics, Chemistry, Biophysics or a related discipline A strong background in experimental soft matter and biophysics with focus on structure examination Knowledge in neutron scattering research preferably real-time SANS, rheo-SANS, or bio-SANS would be a distinct advantage Very good command of written and spoken English Initiative character, creativity, good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, result orientation and analytical skills
