Postdoctoral Position in Cancer Metabolism Laboratory
A postdoctoral position is immediately available in the Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center at University of Maryland School of Medicine to study leukemia metabolism (targeting glutamine metabolism in cells and their microenvironment with asparaginase combination therapy). In addition, the lab will focus on overcoming resistance to FLT3 inhibitors, Bcl-2 & Mcl-1 inhibition in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) via metabolic pathways addiction, and investigating mechanism of resistance to anti-CD19 immunotherapeutics as well as evaluating mechanism of resistance to anti-CD22 (Siglec-2), and anti-CD33 (Siglec-3) via sialidase/sialylation status of the proteins. The postdoctoral fellow will have the opportunity to study primary cells from leukemia patients and mouse AML models in a well-mentored environment at this NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center.
Requirements: Highly motivated PhD or MD/PhD students who graduated within four years are encouraged to apply. A solid background and working experience in the following areas are highly desired:
