We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Trials Administrative Coordinator to join Surgical Interventions Trials Unit (SITU) within the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences (NDORMS), based at Botnar Research Centre, Oxford.


As a Clinical Trials Administrative Coordinator you will carry out day-to-day administrative coordination of project(s) with minimum supervision assist the trial managers of the group in successful delivery of research projects, providing a comprehensive and efficient administration and office management service and administrative support for a number of trials. Main duties include providing administration in compliance with applicable legislation and guidance; maintaining the Trial Master File; carrying out day-to-day administrative coordination of projects; diary/calendar management and organisation of meetings, courses and teaching programmes; ensuring timely research data capture.


You must be educated to A-level standard (or equivalent administrative qualifications/experience). You will be computer literate and experienced with basic software packages (Excel, Word), with some experience of developing, maintaining and producing information from databases. You will have project management experience and evidence of substantial problem solving skills as well as good negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills. Understanding of clinical governance and its implications and importance for research, familiarity with IRAS and previous data management experience within a clinical research study would be desirable.


This is a full-time fixed-term appointment for 2 years. This post is part funded by Action Medical Research, NIHR and Zimmer BioMet.
